ACA Convention 2014

Abalone Council Australia Ltd extended a warm invitation to all Australian and New Zealand abalone stakeholders to attend the 6th National Abalone Convention to be held at Queenstown, New Zealand, from the 6th to the 8th August 2014.

Many of you would remember the very successful 5th National Abalone Convention held on Hamilton Island from 21st to 23rd of July in 2011. Attendees of this convention wholeheartedly endorsed the concept of locating future abalone industry events at popular tourist destinations.

The ACA hosts the National Abalone Convention once every three years and for 2014, the ACA teamed up with the New Zealand Paua Industry Council to bring you the first ever Australia New Zealand Abalone Convention.

If you have an investment or indeed any involvement in the Australian or New Zealand Abalone industry then this was a “must attend” event.

The Convention attracted divers, processors, quota-owners, researchers and fishery managers from Australia and New Zealand. The theme of the Convention was “Navigating the Future” and outcomes from the Convention will drive strategies for the future of both Australian and New Zealand abalone industries.

We enjoyed welcoming you to the conference and sharing the latest information and data from leading experts involved in “Navigating the Future” of Australian abalone.

You can find password-protected copies of the presentations given at the Convention here.
